Budget Travel for Today’s Economy
Budget Travel for Today’s Economy
Things are tough for everyone today, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up traveling! You just need to know where to look. If timing is not a concern, last minute deals and steals are a fabulous option. Planes, hotels, and resorts never want an empty spot, so they often offer low cost deals within the last week or so. Go to our travel booking website; www.vacationdeals247.com and in the bottom right hand corner sign up of our last minute Deals and Steals email We will send you an email weekly with all the last minute travel deals.
Also, it is usually cheaper to book all your travel together on one website. You can save quite a bit of money by booking your air, hotel, and car at the same time.
Group Pricing
Another cost saving measure is to book with a group. Group pricing is always lower than a single fare. So, if you can get a group together (often as small as 10 or more), get in touch with us to get group pricing on a cruise or at a resort. You may also wish to check in with your personal “affinity group” – this can be alumni organizations, church groups, senior or rec center trips, or even local travel clubs.
Consider Cruising
With today’s gas prices, cruises are one of the best deals around. Yes, the cruise lines have added a fuel charge to help offset the high prices, but this is only about an additional $50 a week. Cruise ships burn thousands of gallons of fuel each voyage, so an additional $50 per person is not much in comparison. Because pricing is locked in when you book, other price increases are not felt by the traveler (such as increases in food costs, etc.).
Don’t let today’s economy prevent you from traveling. It just takes a little looking around to find that great deal.
